CONNECTING INTERESTS

I'm currently at a point in my life where I'm trying to figure out which direction to go in regards to work. It's been tough to choose a direction because I have so many different interests! Recently I happened upon this website/web app called Kinopio, which allows you to get your thoughts out onto your screen in no particular order and connect them using wires. I found this to be a very interesting way to visualize all my interests and it might just help clue me into which skills I should be focusing more on and which skills I shouldn't worry too much about.

Here's my current interest board. The labels in colored boxes are what I would consider to be root or core interests.

I will definitely be pondering over the labels which have the most connections, and for service/product ideas that can connect the unconnected labels.

I've also found it useful for planning out more complicated site structures. I'm planning on making a few websites that are all connected in some fashion, in a sort of small network.

Anyway, I just wanted to quickly write this post because this could help someone else with their project! Let me know what you think!
